Edible Holiday Gifts

It’s strange how the older you get, the holidays have become more stressful. Who to buy what for, and how will they think of the gift you got for them. And then you don’t want to just buy stuff, just for the sake of buying stuff. So that it eventually ends up in the junk pile in the garage or something. Last year M’s father got some neat gifts from Omaha Steak and pears from Harry & David. They were delicious! So this year, I decided to do “food” gifts of chocolates, nuts, and cookies. This way it’ll be edible treats that you will eventually enjoy.

“A Basket Case” from Alberta, Canada makes these beautiful Gingerbread man cookies. They are all wrapped up and ready for Christmas. It’s meaningful enough, without having to stress out on the gift wrapping and all. I think M’s mom, who lives in Vancouver, would love to find one of these boxes under her tree this year. They sell for $26 Canadian.
